The concrete pour for the south-West of the building was completed on Thursday, plus the upstands to the east side of the building. Steel works for the whole of the building slab has continued and will be complete early next week along with the shuttering ready for the final pour on Thursday 18 March. This will be the biggest completed so far on the project, with 20 concrete wagons and the concrete pump booked. The beach bank path by the site will be shut for the day though access for the public to the beach on foot will be possible via the temporary footpath.
Timber works to the perimeter of the sheet piles and capping beam commenced on Monday. All the piles have been installed during the week and installation of timber planking is due to start next week.
Work continues on the northern part of the site with service and tanks installation.
