RNLI Wells marked 200 years of the Royal National Lifeboat Institution 1824-2024 with a series of events and an exhibition at Wells Maltings in March. Both lifeboats launched and ran up to the quay so the crew could pay their respects at the lifeboat memorial to the crew lost in the Eliza Adams tragedy in 1880. A picture of all current volunteers at Wells was taken on 1/8/24 with similar photographs being made at nearly all RNLI stations at the same time. In August, Wells met up with Sheringham and Cromer boats for a special RNLI 200 version of Sheringham's usual annual lifeboat day.
