Some advice for paddleboarders and kayakers at Burnham Overy Harbour.
Some advice for those swimming in the harbour channel and creeks in Burnham Overy Harbour.
A short video with advice for those venturing out across the marshes only Scolt Head Island, the four mile barrier island between Brancaster and Burnham Overy Staithe that it is cut off on every tide. Proper care and planning must be taken with tide times if you are not to get trapped on the island or in the creeks and marshes inbetween. The larger channels are deep and fast-flowing during the flood and ebb tides.
To avoid being cut off by the incoming tide on the sands or marshes, make sure you are back at Overy Staithe or on the coast path at least four hours before the time of high water shown above.
